– It is no easy job to have the will and ability to change our services by thinking again and including innovation as part of the work. It requires a lot of the entire organization, said Steinar Omnes at the hospital’s Idea Reception, when he told about the innovation award to the board today.
30 ideas have come to the reception since it was started in February.

“It is gratifying to see that so many good solutions have emerged and been developed in Sørlandet hospital,” said Omnes.

12 of the ideas have been nominated for this year’s three price categories: this year’s service innovation, this year’s product innovation and this year’s innovation transfer.

The award for this year’s service innovation went to project manager Geir Thore Berge, advises clinical ICT, for the idea Concept-based search for clinical decision support. The goal is to increase patient safety by quickly finding the right critical information. ‍
